Health Science is a secondary program which provides a curriculum that introduces the students to the health care cluster consisting of the four career majors: Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, and Allied Health. The student will develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each career major. Subjects covered include: health careers, anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, medical math, health & wellness, emergency procedures and practical work experience. Students successfully completing Health Science Core Skills are eligible to take the Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide state registry test.
