Workplace Education


The Green County Adult Learning Center offers assistance in improving Communication Skills, Computer Literacy, Decision Making Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, and Team Building Skills.



Kentucky Employability Certificate


The KEC provides skill based credentials to Kentuckians to help them secure employment. It also provides employers with workers that have documented skills proficiencies and it certifies the applicants that employers can hire with confidence. To earn your KEC, simply take a WorkKeys Assessment and score at least a 4 out of 7 on three assessments. It's that simple!

 

GED Readiness

The Green County Adult Learning Center offers GED (High School Equivalency Certificate) preparation classes that are free to anyone wanting to study for their GED.  The classes cover all topics found on the GED; math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.  Once a student is comfortable with the material, the student can then register to take the GED.


Class Times
Monday and Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.-2 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 4:30-8:00 p.m.


Students can also study online or individually in the comfort of their own home. 
The classes are also open to anyone who wants to go to college and/or get a better job.

Family Literacy

Family Literacy is a program that enables parents to interact with their children while promoting family time in a literacy rich environment. Families are given books to read together.  A meal is provided each week as well as activities and crafts.
